Looking for childcare before and/or after school? Latchkey provides Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) licensed childcare before and after school for K-5 students. Latchkey opens at 6AM until school begins and after school until 6PM. Latchkey enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on Thursday, July 17. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and will be open until individual sites reach capacity or until Friday, August 1, 2025.

An online Google Form for enrollment will be posted on our web page and Facebook page (USD 260 Latchkey) at 6AM on July 17, 2025.

• PAYMENT
The first two weeks of care are due at the time of enrollment, along with a $10 registration fee per student. This initial payment must be made in person at the Swaney Latchkey office via credit or debit card, cash, check or money order. In addition, any outstanding balances must be paid to complete enrollment.

• ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Please complete the following steps for Latchkey enrollment:

1. Submit the online Google enrollment form posted on our web page and Facebook page (the link will be live at 6AM on July 17). You will need to fill out one form per child. 
2. Download and complete the Special Permissions Form HERE. This PDF is also available on our webpage. 
3. Return payment and Special Permissions Form to the Swaney Latchkey office between Thursday, July 17-Friday, August 1, Monday-Friday, 6AM-6PM.

The Swaney Latchkey office is located at 501 English, and can be accessed through exterior door number seven. (near the playground)
