Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

Swaney Families, 

The safety of our students is one of our most important focuses.  We need your help to make sure our arrival and dismissal times are as safe as possible. Refer to the map below and when you are either arriving or departing from our campus: 

During arrival time, students can be dropped off at either door one in the circle drive, or door seven in the back of the building (follow the red lines). Doors open for breakfast at 7:35AM, and for all students at 7:40AM. Staff will greet students as they enter the building.

All students will be dismissed from the building at 3:20PM.

Students riding the bus, 2nd-5th grade walkers, and all Kindergarten and 1st-Grade, will dismiss in the circle drive. Kindergarten students will exit from door 2. If you pick up Kindergarteners, 1st-graders, or their siblings, enter the circle drive and pick-up at door 1. 

Car riders in 2nd-5th grade will be at door 7 in the back parking lot. Follow the red line on the map below, enter the parking lot to pick up your students, and exit following the same red line.

When driving onto the school grounds, do not stop or park in the crosswalks (Yellow Highlights). If you are coming into the back parking lot, pay attention to the entrances and exits. We can not have cars enter the parking lot through the exits and turn across traffic as they exit the parking lot.

If your student is riding a bicycle to Swaney, please remind them that they must walk their bicycles on school grounds. If you have a student who walks to Swaney from your home, please talk with them about their safety while they are walking to our campus.
