If your child will be five years old on or before August 31, 2025, the first step to enrolling is completing Kindergarten Intent to Enroll between April 21-30, 2025. 

The 2025-2026 school year calendar is now available! Please note, each elementary school and Derby High School will begin their school day five minutes earlier next year.

Starting second semester, Swaney Elementary will help promote students being in their seat when the bell rings with the "Caught in Your Seat" Award.

Swaney's 3rd-quarter site council meeting is March 4, 2025. 

Swaney Elementary has challenged Oaklawn Elementary, Park Hill Elementary and Stone Creek Elementary to see which school can collect the most pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Starting in January, we’re bringing back Swaney Superstars! On random days, Mr. Addis will visit the lunchroom to recognize students who are giving their best effort.

The safety of our students is one of our most important focuses. We need your help to make sure our arrival and dismissal times are as safe as possible.

Swaney Elementary qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This provision allows ALL students attending Swaney Elementary to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch a day.
